Special arrangements can be made for private and semi-private rides, large group rides, evening rides, or experienced riders that canter. We have mounts of all sizes, from ponies up to our gentle giants, the draft horses. Those big guys are good mounts for any age, but are also the ones we use for riders weighing over 200 pounds.
Hmmm, what to wear? This is not the place for fashionistas...we ask that you wear riding or hiking boots that are hard soled with a small heel. No steel toes. Sneakers are not advised but are accepted. The shoe is important for safety. Under no circumstances will you be permitted to ride in sandals that are open at either the heel or the toe. We also ask that you wear long pants...the wooded trails can be narrow or overgrown sometimes and prickers are a natural occurence. It is always windier out in the fields, so please use good judgement in your choice of jackets/coats/gloves. In the winter, hats do not fit under the helmets.
Our insurance requires the use of an equestrian helmet, that we provide
for you. If you have your own, you're more than welcome to bring it.
However, we are not responsible if it is left behind...we will gladly
ship it to you at your expense, if you can not come and pick it up.
Helmets for motorized vehicles are not acceptable.
Reservations are requested to ensure availability of horses and guides. No rider will be permitted to ride without a guide. We recommend you make reservations 2 to 3 days in advance.
We try to get all our rides out on time, but will allow fifteen minutes for those who get lost or "stuck in traffic." We ask that you arrive a half hour before your scheduled ride to allow for payment, signing of
release forms, helmet fitting and trips to the facilities.
Need to cancel? Please do so 24 hours in advance so that we can re-allot our guides and horses as needed. We understand the last minute illness, but we often have a waiting list.
Please
contact us by phone to make a reservation.
